I am currently the program manager for the Johns Hopkins University Institutional History Project at the JHU Press. We are a team of historians writing a new, critical history of Johns Hopkins from the founding to the present day, to be published in fall 2026.

I'm a historian of technology, American culture, and women and gender in science. I've written a book with my best friend and writing partner Leila McNeill, called Forces of Nature: The Women Who Changed Science. I'm the co-founder and co-editor in chief of Lady Science, a magazine about women and gender in the history and popular culture of science.
