Introducing Night Shades

Night Shades is a fiction magazine that publishes four speculative stories per month. 

You've never heard of it because I started it yesterday. Sometimes getting a haircut or even a tattoo isn't enough, and you simply need to start a magazine.

You can read the details of how it works on the publication page, but it's really all very simple. I'd like to pay people a bit more than the current pro rate to let me put their cool stories on here so we can look at them and think about them and get inspired.

This means that subscribers will get a Night Shades newsletter once a week with a new story. You may also from time to time still get a "Telemetry" newsletter, which is just my personal letter.

If this little project takes off, I'll move Night Shades to a standalone website, but for now I'd like to keep the internet infrastructure I'm personally responsible for maintaining to a minimum.

The first submission window will open on Friday April 25, 2025 for stories to be published in May.
